Sessions

Herdr is one Rust binary for macOS, Linux, and Windows. It keeps terminals running in a background server when you close the client or lose the SSH connection. After a server or machine restart it restores the saved layout and can resume supported agent sessions; the original processes do not survive. Each pane is marked working, blocked, or idle.

It runs the agent CLIs you already have, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, and Grok, without wrapping or replacing them. Integrations report the session so Herdr can resume it. Can, who describes himself as the only person behind Herdr, says the runtime stays free under Apache-2.0.
