Lovable alternatives
Lovable alternatives worth a look: Bolt, v0 and Base44 (free plans), Dyad (open source), and Rork, a0 and Anything for mobile apps.
The main Lovable alternatives we track are Bolt, v0 and Base44 if you want a free plan, Dyad if you want open source, and Rork, a0 and Anything if you want to build mobile apps.
Below, we split them into those three groups. Every free plan, license and platform claim comes from the vendor's own site or code repository, checked Oct 15, 2026. Plans change often, so check the linked pages before you choose.
What Lovable does and costs
Lovable describes itself as "an AI software engineer, which enables anyone to build for the web". You chat with it to build websites and web apps (Lovable pricing).
It is free to start. Lovable's pricing FAQ says the free plan includes "a daily grant of 5 build credits (up to 30 a month)", plus 20 Cloud credits a month for hosting. Lovable's docs say free-plan daily build credits stop for the month once you reach the 30-credit cap (Lovable docs: Subscription plans). Lovable says it doesn't charge per seat; plans are priced by the credits they include (Lovable pricing).
Paid plans come in credit tiers. Pro starts at $25/month for 100 credits a month, or $250/year billed annually. Business starts at $50/month for 100 credits. Both scale up to 10,000 credits a month, and Enterprise is custom (Lovable docs: Subscription plans, checked Oct 15, 2026). Code editing, code download and custom domains start with Pro. Verified students and teachers get 50% off the 100-credit Pro plan, billed monthly, for up to 12 months.
See our Lovable tool page for more on the tool.
In our view, people usually look for alternatives for one of three reasons: they want more free usage, they want to own and run the tool themselves, or they want a native mobile app rather than a web app. The groups below follow those reasons.
Free Lovable alternatives
These tools have a $0 plan listed on their own pricing page (checked Oct 15, 2026).
Bolt
Bolt's Free plan includes public and private projects, a 300K daily token limit, 1M tokens a month, website hosting, and Bolt branding on sites. The paid Pro plan is $25/month billed monthly and removes the daily token limit, starting at 10M tokens a month (Bolt pricing, checked Oct 15, 2026).
Bolt measures usage in tokens, not credits. Its FAQ says larger projects use more tokens per message, because most token use comes from syncing your project's files to the AI (Bolt pricing). In our view, that matters if you plan to grow one big project on the free plan.
See our Bolt tool page and our Lovable vs Bolt comparison.
v0
v0 by Vercel has a Free plan at $0/month with a "7 message/day limit". It includes deploying apps to Vercel, visual editing with Design Mode, and GitHub sync (v0 pricing, checked Oct 15, 2026). Paid plans include monthly credits and access to all models.
See our v0 tool page and v0 vs Lovable.
Base44
Base44's Free plan includes 25 message credits a month, 100 integration credits a month, up to 5 apps, and authentication, database and analytics features. The cheapest paid plan, Starter, is $16/month billed annually (Base44 pricing, checked Oct 15, 2026). Base44 says you own your code and can export it to your own repo through two-way GitHub sync.
See our Base44 tool page.
Open-source Lovable alternatives
We only call a tool open source here if its code repository has an open-source license we could read.
Dyad
Dyad calls itself "the open-source AI app builder on your desktop". It runs locally on macOS, Windows and Linux, and you bring your own API key or use local models through tools like Ollama and LM Studio (Dyad). Its free tier needs no sign-up (Dyad, checked Oct 15, 2026).
On licensing: the Dyad repository's LICENSE says code outside the src/pro/ directory is under the Apache 2.0 license. Anything inside src/pro/ uses a separate license. So the core app is open source, but not every file in the repo is.
In our view, Dyad is the closest fit if your main complaint about Lovable is lock-in, since your files stay on your own machine. The trade-off is that you manage your own model keys and costs.
See our Dyad tool page.
Bolt's open-source codebase
StackBlitz publishes a Bolt codebase on GitHub under the MIT license (stackblitz/bolt.new). Its README says it's for developers who want to build their own AI web dev agent with that code. It is not the same as using the hosted bolt.new service with its plans, so treat it as a starting point for developers rather than a ready-made Lovable replacement.
Lovable alternatives for mobile apps
Lovable is built for websites and web apps (Lovable pricing). These tools say on their own sites that they build mobile apps.
Rork
Rork says it lets you "create mobile apps by chatting with AI, ship to App Store". Its site lists products for iOS (Swift apps), Android (Kotlin apps) and the web (Rork).
Rork's docs say its Free plan works in Design mode only. You can explore screens and the look of an app with 5 design credits a day, up to 35 a month in major markets (5 a month elsewhere). Building a working iPhone, Android or web app needs a paid plan. Rork's docs list Pro at $20/month for 100 credits, or Rork Max from $200/month (Rork docs: Pricing and plans, checked Oct 15, 2026). In our view, that makes Rork free to try, but not free to build with.
See our Rork tool page.
a0
a0.dev says it helps you ship mobile apps to the App Store and Google Play. It lists one-click App Store publishing, a database backed by Convex or Supabase, and its own a0.dev mobile app for Android and iOS (a0.dev). We couldn't confirm a0's plans or prices from its own pages, so check a0.dev/pricing directly.
See our a0 tool page.
Anything
Building an app on Anything needs a paid plan. Anything says it turns "your words into mobile apps, sites, tools, and products" (Anything). Anything's docs say "Building an app requires a paid plan." Pro 20k is $24/month billed monthly, or $19/month billed annually ($228 a year), for 20k credits a month. Pro includes publishing to the App Store. Max plans start at $239/month billed monthly (Anything docs: Subscriptions, checked Oct 15, 2026). Its pricing page lists a Free tier, but we couldn't confirm what that tier includes, so in practice, plan on paying to build.
See our Anything tool page.
How to choose
In our view:
- You want to keep building for free in the browser: compare Bolt's token limits with v0's 7 messages a day and Base44's 25 credits a month against the way you work.
- You want control over your code and models: Dyad.
- You want an app in the App Store or Google Play: Rork, a0 or Anything. Rork lets you design for free but needs Pro ($20/month) to build. Anything needs a paid plan to build. We couldn't confirm a0's plans.
